The Varsity Boys Hockey Team had a strong start to their season, securing a win in their first game against Greenwich Country Day School. Building on that momentum, they went on to win eight of their twelve games. Seniors Nick Romano, James Godsell, Alec Baghdassarian, and Brody Ort played a crucial role in the team’s success, demonstrating exceptional leadership, commitment, and teamwork. Their dedication to the team was highlighted on Senior Night, which took place on February 10, 2025.

In addition to their success on the ice, the team hosted a fundraiser during their game against Saint Anthony’s High School, raising money for cancer research, specifically leukemia and lymphoma. That night, they delivered an impressive 6-3 victory, causing excitement from the crowd.

Yanni Malafis, an 8th grader, has helped the team a lot this year, scoring many points during games and showing his drive and love for the sport. Despite being younger than most players on the team, he stands out on the ice.

The Varsity Boys Hockey Team’s success would not have been possible without the leadership of Coach Beaton, whose dedication and guidance helped the team have a memorable season. Coach Beaton has continuously strived to create the best version of the team and has succeeded thus far.
