The Portledge Upper School Black Box is hosting the show The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime! The play will premiere from December 12-14th! Many students may be familiar with the novel written by Mark Haddon from English class or from an individual read.

The story follows Chris, a brilliant and warm-hearted neurodivergent young boy, who begins to process the history of his family and the world around him. Traveling alone through England, from Wiltshire and London, the story depicts how he sees the world and the people he encounters in his daily life. The story explores complex relationships and perspectives as Chris begins to piece together, like a detective in his favorite mystery novels, his hidden past and the secrets behind who his parents truly are.

Since the start of the school year, the cast has worked diligently in rehearsals to prepare for the show, practicing after school and on the weekends. Tickets are free, but they must be reserved ahead of time. All are encouraged to attend and see the beloved story come to life! Opening night is December 12th! Come show some support!
