Portledge School Model U.N. Team Gears Up for Conference

The Portledge School Model United Nations team is off to a great start, excelling in their Kellenberg Conference earlier this year. The faculty advisor, Mr. Liberto, and the leader, Joshua Levy, ensure this next conference at Hofstra will be fantastic by preparing the team with critical skills to succeed at the U.N. conference. This team's thoughtful research, outstanding speaking abilities, and effective collaboration have led to some genuinely impactful moments in and out of this year's conferences. Additionally, the team had a bake sale to raise enough money for these successful endeavors, and the Model U.N. team thanked everyone for their contributions to the club.
Mr. Liberto has expressed his enthusiasm for Portledge's future with Model U.N., as well as his passion for “teaching kids about the world.” He hopes this next conference at Hofstra will be “as successful as the last one.”
Model U.N. offers students a chance to become diplomats and work together to solve critical issues, from preventing smuggling to feeding families worldwide. As the year progresses, the team members are eager to showcase their skills in this field and continue their journey in diplomacy.
